Ultimately from Arabic مَاهِيَّة (māhiyya). Compare Hindi माहियत (māhiyat).

Usage notes[edit]
- माहीत (māhīt) is only used with auxiliary verbs such as असणे (asṇe) and नसणे (nasṇe) to form intransitive compound verbs.[1]
