Cognate with Assamese হয়ৰাণ (hoyoran), Odia ହଇରାଣ (hôiraṇô), Hindustani حیران (herān) / हैरान (hairān), Nepali हैरान (hairān), Gujarati હેરાન (herān), Gojri حیران (hairān), Marwari हेरान (herān), Malvi हेराण (herāṇ), Dogri र्हान (rhān), Marathi हैराण (hairāṇ), Punjabi ਹੈਰਾਨ (hairān), Sindhi حَيرَانُ (hairānu).
