Usage notes[edit]
Despite not being in the Kangxi dictionary, this character can be found in calligraphic works such as that of 顏真卿 in the Tang dynasty as well as works in cursive script by other calligraphers. This became the basis for the simplification of 𤇾 to 𫇦 in characters such as 熒/荧, 螢/萤 and 營/营 in simplified Chinese.
