Etymology[edit]

(ra) +‎ 면(麵) (myeon, noodle), from Japanese ラーメン (rāmen), from Mandarin 拉麵拉面 (lāmiàn). 拉麵 would be *납면 (*nammyeon) in Sino-Korean.
