Etymology[edit]
라 (ra) + 면(麵) (myeon, “noodle”), from Japanese ラーメン (rāmen), from Mandarin 拉麵/拉面 (lāmiàn). 拉麵 would be *납면 (*nammyeon) in Sino-Korean.
