Etymology[edit]
From Early Modern Korean 아므가히 (amukahi), a compound of 아므 (amu) + 가히 (kahi), analyzable as modern 아무 (amu) + 개 (gae).

- (SK Standard/Seoul) IPA(key): [ˈa̠(ː)muɡɛ] ~ [ˈa̠(ː)muɡe̞]
- Phonetic hangul: [아(ː)무개/아(ː)무게]
- Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
