First attested in the Seokbo sangjeol (釋譜詳節 / 석보상절), 1447, as Middle Korean 좁다〮 (Yale: cwòp-tá).

Conjugation[edit]

Unlike most adjectives whose stems end in (b), 좁다 (jopda) does not undergo the stem change ㅂ→우 before a vowel.
