From τῑμωρός ‎(tīmōrós, avenging, avenger) +‎ -έω ‎(-éō, denominative verbal suffix), a contraction of τῑμάορος ‎(tīmáoros), from τῑμή ‎(tīmḗ, honour) +‎ ὁράω ‎(horáō, to see)
