Usage notes[edit]

The letter ё ‎(jo) in трёх- ‎(trjox-), which naturally carries the primary stress, instead carries the secondary stress as a rare exception. The letter ё ‎(jo) becomes е ‎(je) in fast or casual speech. See четырёх- ‎(četyrjox-) for another example.
