From *բող-բողջ ‎(*boł-bołǰ), reduplication of *բողջ- ‎(*bołǰ-), from Proto-Indo-European *bʰol-yo-, from *bʰel- ‎(to thrive, bloom); cognate with Latin folium, flos, Ancient Greek φύλλον ‎(phúllon). See also բող ‎(boł), բողկ ‎(bołk).
