From Byzantine Greek Κυριακή (Kuriakḗ, Sunday), feminine noun from Ancient Greek κυριακός (kuriakós, belonging to the lord), from κύριος (kúrios, lord), referring to Sunday as the Lord's day. Replaced earlier միաշաբաթի (miašabatʿi).
