  • This term may be used alone (as in English), or in the expression מחלת האיידס ‎(makhalát-ha'éids, the AIDS disease).
  • Feline AIDS is sometimes referred to as איידס של חתולים ‎(éids shél khatulím, AIDS of cats). Simian AIDS may be referred to as איידס של קופים ‎(éids shél kofím, AIDS of monkeys), though this locution is quite rare.
