חנוכה \ חֲנֻכָּה ‎(khanuká, Hanukkah) +‎ ־ייה ‎(-iyá). Coined by Hemda Ben-Yehuda (wife of Eliezer Ben-Yehuda), and first published by her in the newspaper HaZvi.
