Usage notes[edit]

  • In older dialects, the plural יוֹמָתָא ‎(yōmāṯā) is used more commonly for the meaning of "time", and the plural יוֹמַיָּא ‎(yōmayyā) is used more commonly for "days", although they are interchangeable for both meanings.
  • In later dialects, the plural יוֹמַיָּא ‎(yōmayyā) is more common for all meanings.
