Borrowed from Arabic زِنْدِيق (zindīq, heretic, atheist).

زندیق (zındık) (definite accusative زندیغی (zındığı), plural زنادیق (zenâdık))

  1. (religion) pagan, heathen, a person not adhering to an Abrahamic religion, a follower of a pantheistic or nature-worshipping religion
    Synonym: كافر (kâfir)
  2. (religion) heretic, misbeliever, someone whose beliefs are contrary to the fundamental tenets of a religion they claim to belong to
    Synonym: ملحد (mulhid)
