Borrowed from Arabic عِيلَام (ʕīlām), From Hebrew עֵילָם (ʿêlām), from Akkadian 𒉏𒈠𒆠 (Elamtu), from Sumerian 𒉏𒆠 (elam^ki /⁠Elam⁠/), from Elamite 𒄬𒆷𒁶𒋾 (ḫal^la-tam₆-ti /⁠haltamti⁠/).
