Etymology[edit]

Borrowed from Arabic لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِ‍خَلْقِ ٱللَّٰهِ (lā tabdīla li‍ḵalqi llāhi, literally there is no altering for God's creation), a Quranic phrase in the so-called "verse of Fitrat" (30:24).
