Inherited from Prakrit 𑀅𑀘𑁆𑀙 (accha) without cluster simplification, from Sanskrit अच्छ (accha). Displaced Hindi आछा (āchā), from the same source.[1] Cognate with Punjabi ਅੱਛਾ (acchā).
