Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘎𑘳𑘨𑘿‍𑘮𑘰𑘚 f (kur‍hāḍa), 𑘎𑘳𑘨𑘿‍𑘮𑘰𑘚𑘲 f (kur‍hāḍī) (compare 𑘎𑘳𑘨𑘿‍𑘮𑘰𑘚𑘰 m (kur‍hāḍā)), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀓𑀼𑀠𑀸𑀭 (kuḍhāra), 𑀓𑀼𑀳𑀸𑀟 (kuhāḍa), from Sanskrit कुठार (kuṭhāra) (see there for more).
