In Southwestern Tai, cognate with Lao ກໍ່ (kǭ), Tai Nüa ᥐᥨᥝᥱ (kǒw), Northern Thai ᨠᩬᩴ᩵, Shan ၵေႃႇ (kàu), Ahom 𑜀𑜦𑜡 (kō).
In Central Tai, cognate with Tày có.
In Northern Tai, possibly cognate with Zhuang guh, Bouyei gueh.
Compare Old Chinese 構 (OC *koːs).
