[edit]Cognate with Northern Thai ᩉᩖᩮ᩶ᨾ, Lao ເຫຼັ້ມ (lem), Lü ᦜᦲᧄᧉ (l̇iim²), Shan လိမ်ႈ (līm), Ahom 𑜎𑜢𑜉𑜫 (lim, “arrow”). Possibly a doublet of ลิ่ม (lîm).
