โฆษณา
Appearance
Thai
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Borrowed from Sanskrit घोषणा (ghoṣaṇā, “proclaiming aloud; proclaiming publicly”); probably via Angkorian Old Khmer ghoṣaṇā (“public announcement, public notice, proclamation, pronouncement, promulgation; to advertise, to proclaim, to cry one's wares, to hawk, to peddle”). Cognate with Modern Khmer ឃោសនា (khoosaʼnaa).
