Particularly: “Not given etymology by STEDT (luṁ "tight, secure, safe, free from blemish"), and doesn't seem to be mentioned by Luce 1981. Wonder if it's somehow related to လုံး (lum:, round object) ("cover round" > "fully cover, make safe").”
