  1. A brownish-yellow pill used in traditional Chinese medicine "to quench fire of the liver and regulate the function of the spleen and the stomach, in the treatment of disharmony of the liver and stomach marked by bitterness in the mouth, distress in the stomach, vomiting, acid regurgitation, abdominal pain and diarrhea".
