  내 길ᄒᆡ에셔 날호여 왓노라
  nay kilh-oy-eysye nalhwoyewasnwola
  I was slow in coming on the road.

- early 18th century, 홍길동전 경판본／洪吉童傳京板本 [Seoul edition of the Tale of Hong Gildong]:
  "길동의 신긔ᄒᆞᆫ ᄌᆡ죠 ᄂᆞᆫ 고금 의 희한ᄒᆞ도다. 제 지금 됴션 을 ᄯᅥ나노라 ᄒᆞ여시니, 다시 ᄂᆞᆫ 작폐ᄒᆞᆯ 길 업슬 거 시오."
