1. Used with a stem to form the gerund in -a (first conjugation), -ea (second conjugation), and -e (third conjugation) verbs, as well as -î verbs (a minority of fourth conjugation verbs).

   ‎putea + ‎-ând → ‎putând

   ‎face + ‎-ând → ‎făcând

   ‎urî + ‎-ând → ‎urând
