    βάρκα (várka, boat) + ‎-άρης (-áris) → ‎βαρκάρης (varkáris, boatman)
    λύρα (lýra, lyre) + ‎-άρης (-áris) → ‎λυράρης (lyráris, lyre player)
  2. added to a number to denote someone of that approximate age:
    σαράντα (saránta, forty) + ‎-άρης (-áris) → ‎σαραντάρης (sarantáris, forty something year old)
    είκοσι (eíkosi, twenty) + ‎-άρης (-áris) → ‎εικοσάρης (eikosáris, twenty something year old)
