Etymology
[edit]From ஆக (āka), infinitive of ஆ (ā, “to be, become”). Cognate with Telugu -గా (-gā).

- for, for the sake of, for the purpose of (forms the benefactive case by appending with the dative case.)
- forms an optative (that expresses a wish, a curse, etc.)
