This should be merged with Appendix:English prefixes as it is a nice format for extra dictionary information about prefixes. --Hroðulf 17:02, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Excluded prefixes[edit]

So I spent a bunch of time going through Category: English Prefixes and adding almost all of them to this page. There were two types of articles in that category that I chose not to add, and am documenting them here in case others would like to add them.

1. Short forms of scientific prefixes, such as k- for kilo, n- for nano. As a user of affix dictionaries this is just not something I would be looking up. 2. Proposed SI and IEC prefixes that were not formally adopted: e.g. xenna-, xenno-. I could be wrong here but I'm not under the impression they have much use and are unlikely to get more use given alternatives have been accepted.

I don't have strong feelings about this. If you feel I was unfair in excluding them you are welcome to add them! Intersets (talk) 20:36, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lists to incorporate[edit]

If anybody has lists of prefixes/suffixes that they'd like me to incorporate in this page, send them my way here or on my talk page! I find incorporating them relaxing. Intersets (talk) 20:38, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
