From the Romance languages list is missing LATIN, the MOTHER. You can put instead of Interlingua which does not represent a people (Swadesh lists belongs to sociolinguistic!) You can make a special group "Artificial languages" for Esperanto, Interlingua, etc.

Whoever put in the translations for Occitan... #123 "lie" is clearly supposed to be "lie down", by its context, but apparently it was translated by "mentir" — which I'm pretty sure would mean "tell lies". Can someone who knows Occitan fix this? —Muke Tever 18:31, 23 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

That's right, Occitan "mentir" = "to tell a lie". The verb "lie" (#123) in Lengadocian Occitan should be "jaire".

I notice that the two Occitan languages include the feminine forms of the adjectives, but in a way that could be misunderstood. For instance, [doç, a] = [doç, doça]; [ahilat, da] = [ahilat, ahilada]; [arroge, ja] = [arroge, arroja]. I think this is confusing.

Is there any (good) reason for each language not to have its own page? From what I know, the Occitan and Romansch could be very large with all the dialects. I'm not sure that Interlingua is a Romance language, as it's a conlang, and Catalan and Romanian certainly seem important enough to have their own pages. Not to mention Catalan has a few major dialects as well. Mglovesfun (talk) 13:01, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re-ordering of tables[edit]

I'm new here so I apologize for format errors. Is there any way of re-ordering the tables on this page? Right now, it seems very disorganized. I'm going to go ahead and try to order the tables according to the categories listed on the Romance languages page on Wikipedia:

Also, Ticinese Lombard, Irpinian Neapolitan, and Maceratese Italian seem a little suspect here. They're not standardized forms, and I don't see any sources listed for them.

EDIT: I tried editing the page and I don't see an option for visual editing. It's going to take a long time otherwise. Can someone help a newbie out?
