Arabic form-I verbs with their past vowel a (فَعَلَ (faʕala)) and their non-past vowel u (يَفْعُلُ (yafʕulu)). In both cases, the vowel in question is the last vowel in the stem, which varies from verb to verb. This is the most common pattern and is used mostly for non-stative verbs.
