This category contains English plurals formed by adding a final "-es", usually with words ending in an "-s", "-ss", "-ch", "-sh", "-x", or "-o".

This category does not contain English plurals formed by adding a final "-s" to a word naturally ending with an "e", such as faces or jokes. A few plurals can represent different singular nouns, and may be regular as to one but also irregular as to another. For example, bases is the plural of base (formed by adding an "-s") and is also the irregular plural of basis (formed by replacing a final "-is" with a final "-es"). This category does not contain plurals formed by replacing a final "-is" with a final "-es"; these are found in Category:English irregular plurals ending in "-es".
