Japanese shimo nidan verbs in Classical Japanese, which are verbs that follow the lower two-grade conjugation, or (しも)()(だん)(かつ)(よう) (shimo nidan katsuyō); also known as lower bigrade verbs.

These verbs have stems that alternate between -u and -e endings.
