Dubious[edit]

Note that this is not “Words which are first attested in Shakespeare”, which may have existed earlier in speech, but words plausibly created by Shakespeare.

That's awfully dubious, how can anyone tell if Shakespeare created the word or if it already existed but was first attested in his works? Mglovesfun (talk) 10:06, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, especially now that the category has explicitly been renamed to "English terms first attested in Shakespeare", I'm going to remove that. --BDD (talk) 15:53, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
