Category talk:English words suffixed with -ceed
The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process.
It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.
-ceed is not an English suffix in that no word has been formed in English by suffixation with "-ceed".
It is possible that a user would want to find words that end in a group of letters. That would be best accomplished by wildcard search (which OneLook offers, BTW). Terms ending in "ceed" that are derived from Latin cedere are a subset of all terms ending in "ceed" and are probably best found by directing users to [[cedo]]. [[cedo]] unfortunately does not contain all the terms (such as "exceed") descended from its Latin derived terms (such as "excedo"). DCDuring TALK 15:07, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
- AFAICT it can be speedily deleted as it's empty. Furthermore there do not seem to be any English words suffixed with -ceed, in which case there's no danger of this category being used in the future either. Delete. Mglovesfun (talk) 13:02, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
