Ancestors[edit]

@AryamanA Hello, can you add Kamarupi Prakrit as its ancestor and add a new ancestor: Proto Kamta or Old Kamta or Proto Western Kamarupa as mentioned by Toulmin, 2006? (https://openresearch-repository.anu.edu.au/handle/1885/45743) Proto or Old Kamta literature comes from the Western part of Kamata kingdom, where it was spoken. For example, works of Pitambar Dvija who was from Western Goalpara region where Kamta is spoken. According to Toulmin, Proto Kamta was spoken from 13th to 16th century. It's the same period as Early Assamese which was spoken to the east of it. Msasag (talk) 18:23, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
