Adding translation boxes in the entries for Chinese character components

The entries for Chinese character components lack translations, which I think would be useful --Backinstadiums (talk) 13:27, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

I have made an edit to 反犬旁 and 單人旁 (based on the usage in The Chinese Language Fact and Fantasy on page 117). I suspect that for many of the components, there will be multiple commonly-used names which are suited to varying contexts. For instance, in my opinion, there would be no differentiation made between 犭and 犬 as a 'dog radical' unless they were being described in the same paragraph and more precise terms were called for. baidu fanyi has "3-stroke form of the dog/animal radical" for 犭 --Geographyinitiative (talk) 06:35, 15 October 2018 (UTC)

@Geographyinitiative: as long as we add the referent source, especially in well-known resources such as The Chinese Language Fact and Fantasy, it only adds to the entries. --Backinstadiums (talk) 15:08, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

@Backinstadiums: I'm not quite sure what you mean by translation boxes. If you're talking about translation sections, those should only be in English entries. Adding an English translation would be fine, but I don't really see the point most of the time, since there aren't usual names for Chinese character components. — justin(r)leung _{{ (t...) | c=› }} 15:26, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
