From Arabic فَتَح ‎(fataḥ), a reverse acronym (meaning literally "opening") for حَرَكَة اَلتَّحْرِير اَلْوَطَنِيّ اَلْفِلَسْطِينِيّ ‎(ḥarakat at-taḥrīr al-waṭaniyy al-filasṭīniyy, Liberation Organization of the Palestinian Nation).
