From Old French Galahad, of obscure origin and meaning. Suggestions include Old Welsh, or biblical Gilead.

  1. (Arthurian legend) Sir Galahad, son of Sir Lancelot, a knight of King Arthur's Round Table famously known for his purity and who was one of the three achievers of the quest for the Holy Grail.
