Old Marathi

  1. An early New Indo-Aryan language, ancestor of modern Marathi, spoken from c. 1000–1300 CE which is found in works like Jñānēśvarī and Līlācaritra.

      Several Old Marathi inscriptions are found in Kannada script, while several Old Kannada inscriptions are available in Devanāgarī.
