Derivation from *kolъ

This word seems suspiciously similar to the more simple term *kolъ (“stake”). As explained in Vermer's dictionary, *drьkolь is likely a compound word of a non-attested prefix **drь- (descendant either from pIE *der- (“split, tear”) or from *dʰerh₃- (“spring, leap”)) and the mentioned term. I think it is worth giving that as a probable etymology.
