@Canonicalization:: Snoj does not mention borrowing. The Slovene prefix is admittedly a little peculiar because in some derivatives, e.g. vzletẹ́ti, pSl *-ъ- is in a closed syllable. In other languages (e.g. Bulgarian възлагам (vǎzlagam), Russian возлагать (vozlagatʹ)), the environment *vъz-lV- yields strong yer. I'm not sure, though, that suffices to call the suffix a borrowing.
