@Iudexvivorum: I'm not really sure this is appropriate for an entry, for the same reason we don't have Year of the Horse in English. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 04:32, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Metaknowledge
  1. But it's Thai, not English. It's indeed a term in use.
  2. Then if the entry Year of the Horse is created, the present entry can exist, right?
  3. There can be a translingual entry, , having the same meaning. Why can't there be this entry?

@Iudexvivorum:
  1. It's not about use, but instead about whether it is a lexical item, or something not appropriate for a dictionary to cover, like a sum of parts.
  2. No, it's not dependent on English.
  3. That is just one word, whereas this appears to be two words.

@Metaknowledge It's a compound word, rather than two separate words. There are a large number of similar entries, such as ประเทศอังกฤษ, ประเทศกัมพูชา, ประเทศอาเซอร์ไบจาน, ประเทศฟินแลนด์, ประเทศเกาหลีใต้, แม่น้ำโขง, แม่น้ำดานูบ, แมวป่าลิงซ์, แมวศุภลักษณ์, etc. --iudexvivorum (talk) 04:58, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Iudexvivorum: I still don't know enough Thai to make a good judgement, so I will defer to you. Thanks. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 05:40, 23 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
