This article should have an example added demonstrating usage of the “competence” definition; it seems strange to me that that’s part of the definition as that’s normally a term ascribed to people in English whereas “capability” (cf “ability”), “feature”, and “function” are not. My only guess is it could refer to competence as in effective performance of a function in biology and medicine. Wenlin has it as a secondary sense, though it doesn't describe the kind of competence. ---> Tooironic (talk) 01:49, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
