Etymology: metathesis[edit]

User:Poketalker: The aratasi -> atarasi metathesis seems to be widely discussed, e.g. [1][2]. In fact I came across this from a recent episode of the Japanese quiz show QuizKnock[3], where it is discussed as if it is common knowledge amongst Japanese educators. @Deryck Chan: It's not really clear what your question or concern is -- the entry already mentions metathesis.
I'll add some detail and references, perhaps that might address your issue. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 16:55, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(However, it'll take me a little bit due to my schedule today. ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 16:58, 14 July 2020 (UTC))[reply]
@Eirikr There was a "can this etymology be sourced?" tag so I thought suggested some sources. I can see that you have expanded on the etymology and added some sources. Thank you. Deryck Chan (talk) 20:47, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
