Length of the iota[edit]

Is the iota in the Ancient Greek suffix -ίᾱ (-íā) long or short? I'm guessing short, but I'd like confirmation from someone who likely knows better. — I.S.M.E.T.A. 19:41, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
