Why two English etymologies?[edit]

They are both from the name Barbara. The only difference is that the doll was named after one specific Barbara. Equinox 04:38, 15 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Split doll into common and proper noun?[edit]

The citation "Many of my feminist friends hate Barbie" is for a proper noun, not the countable sense as in "my sister has three Barbies". Equinox 12:48, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
