Etymology

Beckwith is a surname with two distinct English habitational origins. From southern England comes the meaning "by a brook or stream". Beckwith, West Yorkshire derives from Old English bēce ‘beech’ and Old Norse viðr ‘wood’. 173.88.246.138 22:06, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
