Are there people who say /ˈmɪʃɪkən/? In this video ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhEfXb_pN-Q ) both Joe Biden (at ca. 0:21) and Bernie Sanders (at ca. 1:01) seem to say it like that. And I think I've heard it before, too, though I didn't find anything about it. All other speakers in the video do say /ɡ/. I'm not a native speaker of English, but I generally don't have trouble interpreting voiced-unvoiced pairs correctly. So I wonder. 2.202.159.84 22:14, 7 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
