Etymology[edit]

I'm a bit busy right now, but I noticed this article's creation. I'll help with the definition and so on in a bit, but the first thing that struck me is the etymology. Would 'Yumpla' not be akin to Tok Pisin yumi (us) + pela (adjectival suffix), i.e. 'our talk', 'our language'? --Wytukaze 13:21, 26 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it very well could be. I have to do a bit more research on it -- but I'm extremely busy myself, and am focusing on English words rather than names. Please, feel free to fiddle around with this. I have no claim on it; as per the terms of Wikigreement. Bennmorland 13:39, 26 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, but this would currently count as original research. I'll look into it later. --Wytukaze 13:43, 26 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
