Right/Left thumbs... It seems there's a formatting issue whereby the automatic number doesn't work when combined with left-sided images. Until that problem is sorted out, perhaps we should leave the image on the right. Illustrations are ancillary, and the article's consistent formatting adds to its readability. Suggestions? Well, I found the 'pedia method for handling this...{{-}}. Seems to work. --Connel MacKenzie T C 09:45, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not familiar with that bit of mark-up. Can you show me how to use it? I'm certainly in favor of putting this image on the left so long as we can get it to look nice. Rklawton 15:32, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
We do not specify size nor placement for images in Wiktionary. (Specifying size pointlessly overrides the user's preferences. Placement never works on the left on Wiktionary, and works poorly in other skins.) Having the image at the top (correctly) avoids the need for preceding the Translations section with {{-}}. --Connel MacKenzie 21:06, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Missing sense or context?[edit]

Chambers 1908 distinguishes the word in terms of denomination: "a dissenters' place of worship, as of Nonconformists in England, Roman Catholics or Episcopalians in Scotland, etc." Equinox 02:26, 11 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
